Hello! My name is Erin Meisse, and I am the founder of Set and Setting. My goal is to help you create a living space that supports your peace and makes your life easier.

I was raised here in Yorba Linda, and my family has been part of the North OC community for over 40 years. 

My history in this space began in 2010 when I relocated to Ventura and started an eco-friendly residential cleaning service. I owned and operated Clean it Green for 12 years and was a client-voted Best of VC for the last seven of those years. 

In 2021, during the pandemic, I saw the need to create a space where people could come together again in community. The mental health challenges that came with lockdowns were obvious, and I wanted to help. I found a space on the Central Coast in Morro Bay and opened a small retail and community space that was Set and Setting. The term “Set and Setting” refers to the connection between mindset and environment, and their effects on mental health and experience. I became a life/integration coach and dealt with private clients suffering from anxiety and depression. My first step with every client was always … clean your space. Keep it free of overwhelming distractions. Create a peaceful, safe space. By 2023, I was physically going to their homes to help them sort, purge, and reset them. I worked with grieving families to organize and sort through the deceased's possessions. I have worked with elementary-aged kids to better organize when help from their parents was not effective. I have worked with ADHD young adults and full-grown adults to slowly and calmly create a more organized space. I have also worked with aging folks, helping to organize, sort, and purge their possessions so their adult children would have less to deal with at the time of their passing. 

The effect on their anxiety, depression, ADHD, and even anger issues was amazing. Feeling lighter, more in control, and organized has a domino effect that can elevate many aspects of life.

So I decided to combine my passions, and now Set and Setting has evolved into home organization and interior redesign. Therapy disguised as chores.

I have returned to OC to serve folks who need it. Life is hectic in SoCal. I am here to help provide you with a peaceful, personal space to return to at the end of hectic days.

I have now enlisted my family in the business, but I am still the one who comes out, meets with you to discuss your specific needs, and works with you through the process. I have worked with all types of clients, in all sorts of circumstances, and am uniquely qualified to hold space for you in your process.
